The 2007 Alabama YBOA Girls State Tournament was held in Decatur, AL on May 25th - 27th. The tournament was a huge success and will look forward to an even more successful year in 2008. The State Tournament concluded Sunday, May 27 with Championship games being played on the campus of Calhoun Community College. Here are the results of the Championship games:

Alabama YBOA is already preparing for next year. Plans are underway to return the YBOA State Tournament back to the North Alabama area the first weekend of May. This will mark a change in schedule for the YBOA State Tournament. This schedule change is being done to further promote YBOA basketball and to help grow the tournament.
Alabama YBOA would like to thank Tami Reist and her staff at the Decatur Convention and Visitors Bureau for all of their help in making sure that the 2007 Alabama YBOA State Tournament was a success and Alabama YBOA looks forward to working with the City of Decatur on future projects including the 2008 YBOA State Tournament.
Alabama YBOA would also like to thank Coach Sam Brown and Brewer High School, Coah Johnny Berry and Hartselle High School, Nancy Keenum and Calhoun Community College, Anthony Brown of Eva School and Dwight Owens and his staff at the Aquadome Recreational Center for their help with facilities and Concessions.
