Welcome to Alabama YBOA Girls Basketball

The 2009 season of YBOA girls basketball has finally arrived. From everything that I hear, the 2009 season will be a very exciting year for Alabama Girls YBOA. This season, Alabama YBOA will host at least 3 sanctioned tournaments during the month of May. There was teams from over 20 different organiztions who was a part of Alabama Girls YBOA during the 2008 season with over 360 girls registered with YBOA from the state of Alabama. The 2009 season is shaping up to be bigger and better than last season.

2009 State Championships
The 2009 Alabama YBOA State Championships was held May 15-17, 2009. Tournament games was held at Brewer High School, Cotaco School, Priceville High School, Hartselle High School and Falkville High School. This was a very competitve weekend of girls basketball. We had 45 teams in 6 different age groups competing for the 2009 Alabama YBOA State Championship.

2009 YBOA Regional Tournament
The 2009 YBOA Regional Tournament will be held May 22-24, 2009. Games will be held in Birmingham. Top 4 teams will earn bid to YBOA Nationals. Winning team in each division will have National entry fee waived. Medals and trophies for 1st and 2nd. States expected: GA, TN, MS, FL. For more information, click here.
